A well-camouflaged 88mm gun in waiting position. The white winter camouflage paints, twigs and a camouflage net over the barrel are meant to prevent premature spotting of the position.

An 88mm Flak in combat against French tanks near Arras

A sudden tank attack against this 88mm must be fought off. Only in exceptional cases was the gun fired directly from its trailor. The side spars are folded down, but the gun has not been lowered.
